In the midst of all the noise and hoopla on the Internet nowadays, not many people know that all the ideas and approaches you can uncover are essentially meaningless unless you first understand your company model. In other words, even the most brilliant Internet marketing strategy will fail if you don’t understand how to apply it to YOUR firm.

The three most common business models are:

1. Affiliate Marketing

Because there are no hurdles to access, this is possibly the most popular option. Almost anyone can sign up for a free affiliate program and begin pushing a product or service on the Internet in the hopes that someone will buy, resulting in immediate commissions. Affiliate marketers are risk-free because they do not pay for product development, do not handle customer service, and do not require any upfront capital.

Given that those are the top three things people want to avoid, it’s no surprise that practically everyone and their neighbor supports some sort of affiliate scheme. Indeed, if there is a single reason why the Internet is so clogged with advertisements and banners today, it is because of affiliate schemes.

2. Information And E-Book Publishing

Many individuals have told me that the Internet and network marketing are a match made in heaven. However, in my perspective, about 90% of people get it wrong when it comes to Internet-based network marketing. People in this industry frequently mistakenly believe they are discussing network marketing when, in fact, they are discussing affiliate marketing.

They attempt to have the Internet perform all of the work. They hide behind their computers and pretend that everything is well. They strive to sell more and more each month. They have systems that are so complex that only they can comprehend them. That certainly does not seem like network marketing to me!

If you understand it and are ready to put in the effort, internet-based network marketing is simple. The Internet’s duty here is just to provide you with the names and contact information of people you can talk to, after which YOU, not a computer, must create a relationship with these people and assist them in starting their own business.

Rest confident that no one will sell you half-truths when their success is ultimately dependent on yours.
